UW alumni games set for June 23

Washington will host its first ever alumni games 1 p.m. June 23 at Alaska Airlines Arena.

The Alumni Game features recent UW stars Brandon Roy, Nate Robinson, Jon Brockman, Isaiah Thomas, Quincy Pondexter, Terrence Ross, Spencer Hawes, Justin Holiday and Tony Wroten Jr.

The Legends Game will include former UW standouts a little older such as Eldridge Recasner.

The event will include a three-point competition and slam-dunk contest.

“We have such a strong and connected network of former players here at Washington, and they love getting the chance to catch up with each other,” coach Lorenzo Romar said in a release from the school. “This event is about providing an opportunity for them to do so, and for Washington Basketball fans to get the chance to see some of their all-time favorites don the purple and gold once again.”

Tickets for the event are $15 and on sale at GoHuskies.com/Events. Children under 12 receive free admission.
