In arguably its marquee non-conference matchup, Washington will play Indiana in the semifinals of the 19th annual 2K Sports Classic benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project on Nov. 21 at Madison Square Garden. It’ll be the fourth meeting between the two schools and the first since the 1978.
Connecticut and Boston College square off in a 4 p.m. PT semifinal before the UW-Hoosiers game. The winners advance to the Nov. 22 championship, which follows the 2 p.m. consolation. ESPN2 will televise the semifinals and championship while ESPNU will carry the consolation game.
There’s a chance Washington and Connecticut could face each other before their scheduled non-conference pairing at Alaska Airlines Arena.
Indiana was the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament last season. The Hoosiers lost leading scorers Cody Zeller and Victor Oladipo who were taken fourth and second respectively in the NBA draft.
Indiana also lost 6-9 senior forward Christian Watford and senior guard Jordan Hulls, who were third and fourth in scoring last season.
