Three Pac-12 teams in AP preseason poll

Arizona (6), Oregon (19) and UCLA (22) are among the top 25 teams ranked in The Associated Press’ preseason college basketball poll.

Washington is one of seven Pac-12 teams that received a vote. The Huskies garnered eight votes and is tied for 36th in the poll. The 65 AP voters excluded California, which is fifth in the conference’s preseason media poll.

This is the highest Arizona has been ranked in a decade.

Kentucky, which received 27 first-place votes, is at the top of the AP rankings followed by Michigan State, Louisville and Duke, which also received first-place votes.
