Nigel Williams-Goss to start exhibition

Highly-touted freshman Nigel Williams-Goss will start Wednesday’s exhibition against Central Washington.

The Huskies will also start C.J. Wilcox and Andrew Andrews in the backcourt. Redshirt sophomore Jernard Jarreau will start at forward alongside fifth-year senior Perris Blackwell.

Junior forward Desmond Simmons who was competing with Jarreau for a starting spot will come off the bench. Junior forward Shawn Kemp Jr., who started the final 14 games last season, will backup Blackwell.

“That group is pretty versatile,” coach Lorenzo Romar said. “That group is versatile offensively. I think that group can do things on the defensive end and the offensive end.”
