Pac-12 Power Ranking: Washington looking up from bottom of conference

Here’s our first Pac-12 power ranking.

1. Arizona (5-0) ……………….. Wildcats could face No. 6 Duke in preseason NIT final

2. Oregon (4-0) ………………… Ducks have to be concerned with defense allowing 73.5 ppg.

3. Arizona State (6-0) ……….. Might be undefeated, ranked in top 10 before Pac-12 opener vs. UW

4. UCLA (5-0) …………………… Bruins have faced just one team with a winning record

5. Colorado (6-1) ……………….. Face two in-state rivals before Dec. 7 game vs. No. 2 Kansas

6. California (5-1) ………………. Losing F Richard Solomon depletes thin front court

7. Utah (5-0) …………………….. Schedule ranked 342nd among 351 teams.

8. Oregon State (3-1) ………….. Lost at home to Coppin State before road win at Maryland

9. Stanford (5-2) ………………… Too much talent to allow opponents to average 75.7 ppg.

10. USC (4-1) ……………………… No. J.T. Terrell, no problem. Trojans have won four straight

11. Washington State (2-2) …… Win over Cal-State Bakersfield (4-1) looking better and better.

12. Washington (3-3) …………… Short-handed Huskies installed new defense a week too late
