There’s a few games in the Pac-12 today so let’s get to it.

TODAY’S PAC-12 SCHEDULE:

Colorado (6-1) at Air Force (3-3), 1 p.m. ……………………………………. Themwc.com

North Dakota (2-1) at No. 14 Oregon (5-0), 3:30 p.m. …………………. Pac-12 Networks

Long Beach State (1-6) at Washington (3-3), 3:30 p.m. ……………….. Pac-12 Networks

Picks: Colorado and Oregon

Season tally: 52-12

AND THE UW-LONG BEACH STATE WINNER IS …

The Huskies 84-65.

Washington is a 9.5-point favorite and this should be the easiest win of the season. Long Beach State won its season opener, but the 49ers are riding a six-game losing streak and coming off of a season-low 38-point performance.

LBSU is paying the price for a tough non-conference schedule ranked ninth by statistician Ken Pomeroy. LBSU played three ranked teams and face No. 20 Creighton next week.

Washington could use an easy win for a change. The Huskies have trailed by at least eight points in every game. They’re also breaking in a new defense and the 49ers are seemingly the perfect opponent because they struggle to score. They average 60.7 points, which ranks 334th nationally. They also shoot 37.8 percent from the field, which is 337th in the country.

The Huskies also need to diversify their offense. In their last outing, C.J. Wilcox (28 points), Nigel Williams-Goss (20)  and Perris Blackwell (13) combined to score 61 of their 83 points. Due to injuries, Washington only used seven players. The Huskies are waiting for Desmond Simmons to return next month from arthroscopic knee surgery, but they should develop another reliable reserve to help lighten the work load.

After today’s game, Washington has an eight-day break before traveling to play at San Diego State (4-1).
