Morning links: Pac-12 perfect 8-0 on Showdown Saturday

— Arizona will hold on to its No. 1 ranking after a gritty 72-70 comeback win at Michigan. Brandon Ashley scored 18 points while Nick Johnson, Aaron Gordon and Kaleb Tarczewski each had 14 points for the Wildcats (11-0).

— No. 15 Oregon needed a second-half rally to beat Illinois 71-64 remain perfect at 9-0, which is the Ducks best start since 2006. Mike Moser and Joseph Young each had 14 points to lead five UO players who scored in double figures.

— Just maybe Utah is a serious Pac-12 title contender. The Utes crushed cross-state rival BYU 81-64 last night at Huntsman Center. Jordan Loveridge led the way with a game-high 21 points and Delon Wright had 16. Utah (9-1) snapped a seven-game losing streak to BYU. The Cougars (8-4) smashed Stanford 112-103 on Nov. 11.

Jordan Adams scored 18 points while Norman Powell and Kyle Anderson added 13 to lead UCLA to a 95-71 win over Prairie View A&M.

— Junior college transfer Shaquielle McKissic, the former Kentridge High star, scored a career-high 19 points, including 3 for 3 on three-pointers and Arizona State routed Grambling State 97-55. Jordan Bachynski had 15 points and 14 rebounds, Jermaine Marshall added 16 points and Jahii Carson 14 for the Sun Devils (9-2).

Richard Solomon had his third double-double of the season with a season-high 17 points and a team-high 14 rebounds, leading California to a 67-56 victory Saturday against Fresno State. Justin Cobbs scored 13 points, Tyrone Wallace 12 and Ricky Kreklow 11 for the Golden Bears (8-3).

Josh Huestis had 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and matched his season high with four blocked shots as Stanford routed UC Davis 83-56 to win its second straight game. Dwight Powell had 15 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals for his second double-double this season. Chasson Randle scored a team-high 16 points and Anthony Brown added 15 for the Cardinal (7-2).
