Morning links: Huskies have time to heal after blowout defeat

No two ways to cut it, Washington got hammered at California. Still, it’s difficult to discern following the 82-56 beatdown if the Huskies are as bad ad they played Wednesday or if the Golden Bears are as good as the outcome suggests. Whatever case, UW has a few days to figure it out before Saturday’s game at Stanford.

Here’s the game UW-Cal game stories in the San Francisco Chronicle, Mercury News, Associated Press, Everett Herald and CalBears.com.

THURSDAY MORNING LINKS:

— After a slow start, Stanford crushed Washington State 80-48. Josh Huestis and Anthony Brown paced the Cardinal (11-5, 2-2) with 15 points each. Huestis had three dunks, but Dwight Powell may have had the jam of the night.

— Here’s the postgame interview with WSU coach Ken Bone.

No. 21 Colorado plays its first game since learning star guard Spencer Dinwiddie suffered a season-ending knee injury. It’s a big test with No. 25 UCLA coming to town.

Good chemistry is one of the reasons No. 1 Arizona is on top of the college basketball world.

— Arizona State coach Herb Sendek stormed out of practice this week. Wonder if that bodes well for the Sun Devils before tonight’s big game at rival Arizona.

— Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak is trying to coax a few more points from an offense that tallied 46 in its last outing.

TONIGHT’S PAC-12 SCHEDULE:

No. 25 UCLA (13-3, 2-1) at No. 21 Colorado (14-3, 3-1), 5 p.m. ………. Pac-12 Networks
Arizona State (13-4, 2-2) at No. 1 Arizona (17-0, 4-0), 6 p.m. …………. Fox Sports 1
USC (9-7, 0-3) at Utah (12-4, 1-3), 7 p.m. …………………………………….. Pac-12 Networks
