In the second straight game, former Washington star Tony Wroten Jr. nailed a 3/4 court buzzer-beater at the end of the third quarter. In Friday’s 112-98 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Philadelphia second-year guard finished with 16 points, including a jaw-dropping 71-foot rainbow three-pointer from the top of the key on the opposite end of the court. On Wednesday, Wroten nailed a 67-foot shot from the opposite free throw line during a 114-108 loss to Boston. (Video highlights below) He had 18 points and four assists off the bench.

— Four-star prospect Parker Jackson-Cartwright, who signed with Arizona, admitted academic fraud and dropped out of withdrew from school at Los Angeles Loyola High on Friday. He’s expected to enroll in another high school and plans to play the 2014-15 season with the Wildcats.
