Ahmaad Rorie visits Oregon

Lincoln High star guard Ahmaad Rorie visited Oregon on Tuesday.

The Ducks will likely give the last pitch to the four-star point guard, who is expected to make his college choice Wednesday. He’s made officical visits to Washington and Washington State. He’s also considering Missouri and Wichita State.

Rorie signed with California last year, but was granted his release by new coach Cuonzo Martin who replaced Mike Montgomery when he retired.

Oregon, which has three scholarships available, is in desperate need for players. The Ducks lost 11 players from last season via graduation, transfer or dismissal.

Oregon has 10 players on the 2014-15 roster, which includes six newcomers. There’s only three scholarship players (Joseph Young, Elgin Cook and Jalil Abdul-Bassit) on the team who played last season.

Oregon has signed two point guards – four-star prospect JaQuan Lyle and three-star Casey Benson.

The signing period ends Wednesday.
