Monday morning links: Pac-12 teams begin practice

MONDAY MORNING LINKS:

— Here’s Arizona coach Sean Miller at Wildcats media day. And here’s a few highlights from players.

— UCLA got things going Friday. The Bruins also gave coach Steve Alford a one-year contract extension.

— Utah has high expectations this season.

— Oregon junior center Michael Chandler, who is projected to start in his first year with the Ducks, is dealing with a knee injury. Oregon began practice Friday with nine scholarship players and lots of uncertainties.

— Washington State started practice last Friday, but the Cougars will also hold a fan-friendly event Saturday Oct. 11 to tip off the Ernie Kent era.

— Here’s photos from Arizona State media day, including a pic of senior wing Shaquielle McKissic, the former Kentridge High standout. There’s lots of new faces at ASU and the defense will have to lead the way.
