Plenty of results from Pac-12 exhibitions.
— Arizona started out sluggish before dropping Cal Poly Pomona 67-51 for an exhibition win. Interesting to note, five-star recruit Stanley Johnson began the game on the sideline.
— Senior sharp shooter Gabe York may crack Arizona’s star-studded lineup and push one of the five-star recruits to the bench.
— Utah thumped Division II Pacific University for a 98-38 win behind 14 points from Jordan Loveridge.
— California knocked off Cal State San Marcos for a 74-52 exhibition victory behind 13 points from Tyrone Wallace and Jabari Bird. It was the second exhibition win for the Golden Bears who pummeled Cal State East Bay 94-50 last week.
— Looks as if it’s going to be a long season at Oregon State, which lost its exhibition 57-47 to Division II Western Oregon.
— The Beavers are without freshman guard Chai Baker who was not medically cleared after collasping during a workout this summer.
— Sophomore forward Josh Hawkinson finished with 24 points and 18 rebounds to lead Washington State to an 88-74 win over Azusa Pacific.
— Colorado sophomore guard George King is going to redshirt this season.
— Nice feature on Ernie Kent who is attempting to turnaround the Cougars.
