— Frank Rogers sat out last season after transferring from San Francisco. He leads San Jose State in scoring averaging 11.7 points per game.
— Jordan Baker also sat out last season after transferring from Pepperdine. He’s second on the team averaging 11.0 points.
— Rashad Muhammad led San Jose State in scoring last season while averaging 13.2 points off the bench. The sophomore guard is still a reserve this season and he’s averaging 10.5 points. Muhammad is the younger brother of Minnesota Timberwolves guard Shabazz Muhammad, who played one season at UCLA.
— San Jose State is averaging 59.3 points on 38.2 percent shooting and is allowing 68.7 points on 39.9 percent shooting. SJSU is averaging 18 turnovers.
— The Spartans won their opener against a NAIA team before losing the next three, including a 63-44 loss to Pepperdine.
