Game report: Stony Brook 62, No. 13 Washington 57

GAME REPORT – Stony Brook 62, No. 13 Washington 57

PLAYER OF THE GAME – Sophomore guard Kameron Mitchell drilled four three-pointers – all in the second half – and finished with 12 points in 21 minutes.

PLAY OF THE GAME –Carson Puriefoy dropped a three-pointer from the corner with 1:09 left that tied the game 57-57.

TURNING POINT – Washington scored just two points in teh final 6:36 minutes and was outscored 10-0 in the final 3:41.

QUOTABLE – “Success is hard to handle. I thought tonight we reverted back to how we played a lot last year.” – UW coach Lorenzo Romar.

BY THE NUMBERS:

3 – Three-pointers from Washington, which attempted 10.

4 – Blocks by Robert Upshaw who has 55 for the season. He moved into fourth place on UW’s single-season blocks list.

16 – Washington’s largest lead in the second half.

UP NEXT – California (10-2), 7 p.m. Friday at Haas Pavilion (Pac-12 Networks)
