Eleven consecutive wins. Four straight losses.

Seems like a strange way to do business, but that’s how the Huskies have performed during the first half of the regular season.

Coach Lorenzo Romar promised better results following Saturday’s 80-77 loss to Washington State sent Washington tumbling to an 0-3 start in Pac-12 and 11-4 overall.

Bud Withers talked to the Cougars after the game and coach Ernie Kent said: “We executed a great game plan today.”

Here’s a photo gallery from Lindsey Wasson and game stories in the Spokesman Review, Associated Press and Everett Herald.

And here’s the box score and updated season statistics.

SUNDAY MORNING LINKS:

— The Huskies have company at the bottom of the Pac-12 standings. Arizona State (8-8. 0-3) is the only other winless team in the conference after a 59-56 loss at Oregon. Shaquielle McKissic led the Sun Devils with 18 points and Eric Jacobsen added 13.

Roobert Upshaw isn’t the only elite shot-blocker in the Pac-12. Oregon’s Jordan Bell had eight blocks against Arizona State.

— No. 7 Arizona is ready to take on Oregon State and Gary Payton II.

— UCLA may need to rely a little more on its front court.
