Jernard Jarreau re-injured his right knee last Saturday and will have arthroscopic surgery Friday morning. He’s expected to miss the next 4-6 weeks.

Jarreau injured his knee during Washington’s 80-77 defeat to Washington State last Saturday. He left the game with less than three minutes remaining.

The 6-10 junior forward practiced Monday and Tuesday, but UW officials said he suffered a setback.

Jarreau missed most of the 2013-14 season after tearing right knee ligaments in the season opener.

Sophomore center Robert Upshaw will make his first UW start in place of Jarreau.

Additionally, sophomore guard Darin Johnson strained his right quadriceps in Tuesday’s practice and is unavailable Thursday.

The Huskies will have just eight healthy scholarship players and will essentially rely on a seven-man rotation.
