Lineup for today’s game

The Mariners lug their 1-7 record into this home game against the Colorado Rockies. Here are the lineups for those interested.

3B Willie Bloomquist (Adrian Beltre has a sore shoulder and is schedule to take batting practice Saturday)
DH Jose Vidro
LF Raul Ibanez
1B Richie Sexson
RF Ben Broussard (mostly a DH, he played LF on Thursday)

2B Jose Lopez
SS Yuniesky Betancourt
Colorado (5-3)
DH Steve Finley

RF Brad Hawpe
C Javy Lopez
LF Alexis Gomez
1B Joe Koshansky

The pitching matchup is Jeff Weaver, who had a rough first outing for the Mariners, and Jeff Franics, a lefty for the Rockies. Also scheduled to pitch for the Mariners: RH Cha Seung Baek, LH Eric O’Flahery, LH George Sherrill and RH Chris Reitsma. Closer J.J. Putz was scheduled to pitch today but apparently won’t with tightness in his right elbow.
