Reaction to Campillo

Let’s see what the other side” had to say about last night’s sorry events. Over at the “Halos Heaven” site, they were none too impressed.
Here’s the LA Times version. I found the “No comment. No paper trail.” quote interesting when John Lackey was asked what might happen in a retaliatory sense when he pitches Sunday. This is exactly why Seattle hitters have every reason to be peeved at Campillo.
The LA Daily news writes that: “Guerrero believed he had license to admire his third inning home run since it came in response to nearly getting hit.”
Here’s Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports weighing in on the Campillo pitch and Seattle’s season downfall. Brown is a former LA Times national baseball writer and knows his stuff.
Here’s one of those LA blogs that “Angels of Bellevue” says is better than this one because of the lack of spelling mistakes. Thought it might have something on what went on last night, but, guess not. I’ll post it anyway, just so you have an easier read if you want it.
This blog from the OC Register is all about the brushback pitches.
“With three games left against the Mariners this weekend — and the likelihood that the Mariners will be playing with nothing to lose — things could get edgy again.
The Angels — who do have something to play for (playoff seeding and homefield advantage) — could have their composure tested.”
Indeed.
