Another top M’s official reassigned

The Mariners have made yet another change to the high profile areas of their player development ranks, removing Greg Hunter from his role as Director of Minor League Operations. Pedro Grifol, the team’s previous Co-ordinator of Minor league Instruction, has been promoted to take his place.
Tim Tolman has been added to the organization and will take Grifol’s old spot.
“We are focused on doing everything we can do to improve our player development department,” Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik said in a statement released by the team. “Giving Pedro increased responsibility and adding Tim to our staff should help us in that process.”
Tolman spent the past two seasons as the Washington Nationals’ third base coach and co-ordinated their spring training camp.
Remember, the Mariners have already fired scouting director Bob Fontaine and saw Benny Looper leave the organization, joining the Philadelphia Phillies, after he was told he’d be stripped of his vice-president’s title.
No word yet on Zduriencik’s choice for manager. As we told you, it likely won’t come down until tomorrow.
