Kelley comes on …

Reliever Shawn Kelley came on and set down the Tigers in the seventh inning after Hernandez exited following a six-inning stint. He wasn’t outstanding, but kept his team in it, allowing three earned runs and seven hits while throwing 104 pitches.
Kelley allowed a leadoff hit to Curtis Granderson, but he was erased on a double play. Then, with Magglio Ordonez having singled, Kelley got the dangerous Cabrera out on a fly to center to keep it at 5-3.
