See a little bit of Milwaukee

There are only two MLB cities I had never set foot in and Milwaukee is one of them. The other is Cincinnati. I’ve been through the airports at both, but that doesn’t count.
Eight years ago, I flew into Milwaukee Airport, but then drove a couple of hours north to the town of Menasha to do a profile on the life of soon-to-be Rookie of the Year Eric Hinske. Time has flown since. Hinske has been to three World Series in three years with three different teams, while I am working in a new city and country.
All I’d known about this place beforehand is what I’d seen on Happy Days. Yeah, and that Bud Selig was from here. Jeffrey Dahmer, too. Insert snappy line here.
They make a lot of beer here, that I know. And Gord Ash, former Blue Jays GM, is the longtime Brewers assistant GM under fellow Canadian Doug Melvin. Two Canucks running an MLB team? What could possibly go wrong with that? Probably a class operation.
Anyhow, I didn’t know what to expect of the city at all when I got here. My hotel is situated right on the banks of the Milwaukee River, in a section of downtown known as RiverWalk. Pretty original name. So, I shot some HD video of the surrounding area, for those of you who, like me, don’t get out here on vacation much.
Have a look.
