Want a 2010 Mariners highlight? Bill James in our living room

People often ask me whether I have a favorite Geoff Baker Live! show and I’ve got to say, it’s tough to match this one. Sabermetric guru Bill James making an appearance on the show for a full hour back in March down at spring training. Right in the living room of our condo with Larry Stone in the background providing the lighting and technical support.
James doesn’t do much TV. Only 60 Minutes and The Simpsons by my count. So, we enjoyed having him. It was our most widely watched of the recorded shows, though, amazingly, still not in the top-10 as far as live viewership went. Maybe it was the earlier time of day. Anyhow, plenty of people saw it after the live airing. It’s interesting, given how the Mariners’ season turned out, to go back and listen to some of his insights. Yes, I know, he was a big Rob Johnson supporter as well and it comes through loud and clear on the broadcast.
So, have fun watching, if you haven’t seen it yet. Yes, we will be having the show again this spring. Trying to improve the technical aspects as well. If you watched down at the winter meetings, I’d say it was our smoothest live video yet.
