Here’s a new feature that I hope becomes a regular occurence. We have a pretty active blogosphere when it comes to the Mariners and I hope this can give you an idea of what’s out there and worth reading.
Rather than simply make this a links post, I also plan to offer a few comments and insights into the blogs mentioned.
The first one is this Lookout Landing link that discusses former Mariners pitcher Ian Snell.
After that, there’s this USS Mariner round-up of the week that was from Dave Cameron.
ProBall NW has this interesting video that’s good for a laugh or three.
And over here at Sodo Mojo, we have Part II of a series that tries to project how the Mariners will do this season. This post actually attempts a win-total prediction, which, if you read my story in the paper this morning, is a risky proposition.
In the video, I have the Sodo Mojo author, Keith Myers, predicting a 73-75 win season. He actually said 75-78. I could have re-shot the entire video, but elected to just point out the mistake here. I still think 73-75 is overly optimistic, never mind 75-78, so the point still stands, but the mistake is mine. Also, I referred to Vladimir Guerrero’s brother as “Wilson” and not his actual name of “Wilton”. (Also refer to the M’s signee, Gabriel, as his younger brother instead of his nephew). Such are the perils of broadcasting on a deadline.
Enjoy the feature.
