Another fun show tonight. Keep the questions coming and I’ll try to answer them. The crazy ones as well as the typical.
In the first highlight clip, I applaud the Mariners and Jack Zduriencik for their strategy of targetting larger-sized players.
On this clip, we did a rundown of the pitchers who will work in Friday’s intrasquad game.


A listener then asked whether the M’s will be OK offensively if both Ichiro and Chone Figgins get on base simultaneously. For me, this is one of the ingrained myths that has been spread about the team. That all the M’s needed were both to get on. Well, based on the limited sample of last Sept./Oct., that question remains firmly up in the air, as I explain.
Another listener asked me whether I’d read the interview of Mariners special assistant Ted Simmons, who said he envisioned the team turning things around soon. Here’s my take on that.
