Gutierrez leaves camp for a couple days

We’ve just been told that Franklin Gutierrez has left Seattle’s camp to attend to family matters — his father-in-law his Luis Salazar, injured in a frightening incident in the camp of the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.
Salazar, a minor league manager with the Braves and a former Major League shorstop, was hit in the face by a ball batted by Brian McCann.
Gutierrez is expected to be back in Mariner camp Friday night.
Salazar and Gutierrez are each natives of Venezuela.
