Colorado Rockies at Mariners: March 28, 2011 game thread

Should be a good Geoff Baker Live! show this afternoon, given all of today’s roster moves. We’ll get started about a half-hour after conclusion of today’s game, live from Peoria Stadium.
The Mariners just announced what you’ve all known for a while: that the starting rotation will be Felix Hernandez, Jason Vargas, Doug Fister, Erik Bedard and Michael Pineda.
Lots of action here the past couple of innings, with the Rockies now leading it 5-3 after scoring three in the fifth off Jason Vargas.
Singles by Willie Taveres and Jonathan Herrera were followed by a two-run double to left center by Ty Wigginton. Todd Helton then singled to left to bring another run home.
The Mariners had taken a 3-2 lead in the third inning when Chone Figgins singled, stole second and scored on the day’s second RBI for Milton Bradley (a.k.a. not Carlos Silva).
Colorado had tied it in the top of that frame on a solo homer by Matt Pagnozzi, a double by Taveres and a Wigginton single.

1:47 p.m.: We’re through two innings and Jose Lopez has already flied out once to left field for the Rockies. Seattle leads 2-0 after Milton Bradley doubled home Chone Figgins from first base, took third on an error and scored on a groundout by Jack Cust.
Yes, that back issue for Cust was apparently short-lived.
