The first lineup of a new Mariners season

Yeah, I know. Not exactly Dodger Stadium. But there is something about the Coliseum that appeals to the rebel in all of us, right? Maybe it’s Mount Davis, those towering center field bleachers that Raiders owner Al Davis insisted be put in so his football team could cram more fans into the venue.
Ok, not the greatest Opening Day backdrop. But hey, we have a lineup.

If you missed Geoff Baker Live! earlier, we began the show by taking a look at the starting rotation, running down all five guys and looking at what’s needed.
Which Mariners player will hit the most home runs? Here’s my answer to a viewer who asked that question.
A discussion about the bench branched off into a discussion about Michael Saunders and how Ryan Langerhans is starting ahead of him in center field tonight.
Another viewer asked about the team’s closer situation. I explained why Brandon League got the closing assignment.
MARINERS
RF Ichiro
3B Chone Figgins
LF Milton Bradley
DH Jack Cust
1B Justin Smoak
C Miguel Olivo
CF Ryan Langerhans
SS Brendan Ryan
2B Jack Wilson
RHP Felix Hernandez
That’s the starting nine that will take on Trevor Cahill and the A’s.
