Luis Rodriguez in at shortstop, batting second

Mariners manager Eric Wedge has made a little lineup shuffle tonight, getting Luis Rodriguez some playing time at shortstop. He’ll spell Brendan Ryan there and also bat second.
I thought Ryan had a good game last night, despite the fact he’s 2-for-his-last-22. He was robbed of an RBI double and also had that single late to score Seattle’s only run.

But hey, as we discussed this morning, there’s nothing wrong with giving everybody a little time off when they need it. Even if they don’t need it that instant, who doesn’t love a day off? And this way, you stack the lineup with left-handed bats.
Ichiro is back in at leadoff, playing right field.
The lineups:
MARINERS
RF Ichiro
SS Luis Rodriguez
1B Justin Smoak
DH Jack Cust
2B Adam Kennedy
CF Franklin Gutierrez
C Miguel Olivo
3B Chone Figgins
LF Carlos Peguero
RHP Felix Hernandez
WHITE SOX
LF Juan Pierre
SS Omar Vizquel
RF Carlos Quentin
DH Paul Konerko
C A.J. Pierzynski
CF Brent Lillibridge
1B Mark Teahen
2B Gordon Beckham
3B Brent Morel
RHP Phil Humber
