Mariners win 5-1: a chant is born for Miguel Olivo

Anyone wondering what the King’s Court fans were chanting with Miguel Olivo at the plate in the ninth inning just prior to his two-run homer? Well, they were chanting “O-lee-vo! Ohhh!”
Wizard of Oz fans out there would know where the tune comes from. It’s the same chant used by the Winkies at the Castle of the Wicked Witch, as seen in the video above.
Wait for the guards to start marching.

Olivo, of course, just had to belt a two-run homer to left that pretty much ended any chance of a Florida comeback. And guaranteed we’re going to be hearing that chant the rest of the season.
Love the energy the King’s Court bunch brings to the ballpark.
Love the pitching we saw tonight from Felix Hernandez.

Hernandez didn’t allow the Marlins anything at all, other than a run on a wild-pitch that should have been an inning-ending strikeout in the fourth.
Otherwise, just two hits given up over eight innings with 10 K.
Hernandez did his three (!?) batters and walked some more, but hey, it’s Hernnadez. He fixed his own mess.
Nice to see the Mariners score five runs.
