Monday’s Mariner lineup: Smoak sits again

Justin Smoak is out of the lineup for the second day in a row, something to ask about obviously. Casper Wells returns to left field, and, yes, Chone Figgins is back at third.

Eric Wedge should provide word today on who will start Wednesday in place of Erik Bedard. Left-hander Anthony Vasquez from Tacoma seems a likely candidate, considering he was scratched from his scheduled Triple-A start today and replaced with Erasmo Ramirez, called up from AA Jackson. Vasquez is 3-2 with a 3.24 ERA in five starts with Tacoma after going 5-7 with a 3.77 ERA in 16 starts with Jackson.
