Eric Wedge said he still has no idea who will be sent down between games to make room for rookie Anthony Vasquez, who will be added to the roster as the Game 2 starter. It will be dependent on how the bullpen is used in the opener. If it’s taxed, it might even be a position player going down.
“I can honestly say with 100 percent confidence I have no idea what I’m going to do in between games with regards to making this move, because it depends what happens this first game,” Wedge said. “Our bullpen has been just kind of hanging on. If you look at the numbers and usage.
“Ideally, I’d like it to send out a bullpen guy, but there’s still a chance we might have to send out a position player. That’s just where we are. It’s not just about tonight, it’s also about tomorrow, too. I’m trying to work through that. We’ll see.”
