Funeral plans set for Mariners outfielder Greg Halman

The family of Greg Halman , seen here two weeks ago with a young fan in the Czech Republic, has finalized his funeral arrangements. The burial is to take place next Tuesday in the town of Driehuis, a few miles from Halman’s home city of Haarlem in The Netherlands.
Prior to that, there will be a memorial gathering open to the public this coming Sunday afternoon in Haarlem, at the Kinheim gym. Kinheim is the professional team in the Dutch Major Leagues that Halman played for as a teenager prior to signing with the Mariners.
It’s also the team his brother, Jason, played for right up to the end of this past season. Jason Halman has been arrested in the stabbing death of his brother. Reports out of The Netherlands quote police saying a dispute over loud music may have led to an altercation in which Halman was stabbed.
