Watch Mariners prospect Vinnie Catricala take batting practice

Our earlier post talked about Mariners third base prospect Vinnie Catricala and his lethal bat. Now, you can see it in action in the batting cage moments ago.
Among those standing next to the cage are Mariners CEO Howard Lincoln and special front office assistant Ted Simmons.

Catricala earlier had sent some screamers up the third base line. One of them sent a photographer diving for cover in foul territory in shallow left field. The other had GM Jack Zduriencik on his toes as he stood watching near his golf cart around third base.
No one questions that Catricala can rip the ball.
The big issue to resolve is whether he can field and throw it from third base.
