Mariners lose 5-1

Not much offense from Seattle when it mattered here. Casper Wells hit a late solo homer in the ninth, but Seattle still takes a 5-1 loss to the Hanshin Tigers at the Tokyo Dome.
The Mariners loaded the bases with one out in the third inning, but Chone Figgins and Dustin Ackley struck out and that was pretty much it.
Seattle trailed 3-0 at the time after a rough second inning for Hector Noesi. Noesi hung in for three more innings after that, but the damage was done.

Two more runs by the Tigers off Tom Wilhelmsen in the seventh inning helped put the game away.
The Mariners saw Miguel Olivo reach base three times on two singles and a walk. They also got a leadoff double from Munenori Kawasaki in the eighth after he entered the game as a replacement for Dustin Ackley.
