Chone Figgins, after going 0-for-6 last night, is out of the lineup, and Dustin Ackley gets his third start at leadoff. The Mariners are 2-0 in his previous times atop the order. Ackley will be the DH as Jesus Montero goes behind the plate, and Kyle Seager plays second.
Brendan Ryan, after striking out three times yesterday to drop to .136, is back at shortstop against Tampa Bay’s rookie lefty, Matt Moore, as Eric Wedge stacks the lineup with right-handed bats. Alex Liddi is hitting second for the second time.
