Mariners fail to get TD on final drive, take a 14-10 loss

Just about everybody in the building had a hit in this game except for Baxter the bobcat, who was too busy dancing and prancing around everytime the Diamondbacks hit a home run.
The D-Backs hit six of them today to tie a franchise record in a 14-10 win over the Mariners.
Five of the homers came off Jason Vargas, lifting his season total to 20 allowed in 16 starts. That’s too many, for those wondering. And for a guy already making $5 million and headed to arbitration, that long ball number pretty much destroys any trade value regardles of ERA totals or anything like that.
Kyle Seager had a home run, a double and a single for the offense. There was plenty of offense to be found, but once again, that wasn’t the problem.
