Ichiro in at designated hitter for Mariners as Casper Wells moves to right field

pree0626.jpg
Mariners manager Eric Wedge knows a six-game hitting streak when he sees one. That’s what Ichiro has been at ever since getting a day off in Arizona just over one week ago.
And that means Ichiro gets another rest — sort of — tonight, as the Mariners try to snap a 23-inning scoreless drought. Ichiro is in a designated hitter while Casper Wells plays right field.
The Mariners have to try to get Wells, Michael Saunders and Franklin Gutierrez in at the same time as much as possible because they are three of the team’s hotter hitters. This is one way to do it.
