Lots of debate and suggestions about Mariners rebuilding plan in hour-long show

That was a pretty fun hour we spent talking about the Mariners tonight, which you can listen to by clicking the podcast above. Not just bashing the M’s for losing five of six, but looking at some of their highlights this year as well in terms of everyday players they may have come up with. We discussed the rebuiding effort and whether fan expectations were being met. Tried to look into what those expectations should be.
I enjoyed taking the calls because they helped provide a natural bridge to the kinds of areas I wanted to explore. The first caller turned out to be Lonnie, who runs the Mariner Central blog. I guessed it was him because I know he lives in Colorado Springs and could see that location on my caller index screen.
Plus, it was fun. We don’t often get to talk Mariners these days, given how T.O. is now in town and the Seahawks are the new flavor of the month. The M’s can’t fault aybody but themselves for that one. To stay relevant, you have to be relevant on the field.
But still, I thought we covered a wide range of topics in just one hour, so thank you.
