Lineups for tonight’s game as Mariners go for six in a row

pre0820.jpg
The Cleveland Indians come to town in total disarray and with a .277 winning percentage since the All-Star Break. Seattle throws out a lineup with Miguel Olivo catching and John Jaso as the DH.
Jesus Montero gets the night off against right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez, given the rookie’s .222 batting average and .581 OPS off righties.
As I said, the Indians have nothing going for them at the moment. The book on Jimenez is plenty of walks and wild pitches, which the Mariners got a gander at yesterday in facing Samuel Deduno of the Twins.
Hopefully, the M’s can do a bit more damage off Jimenez if he starts walking guys left and right and not leave things until the last couple of innings. The only other guy worth noting on the Cleveland roster right now is relief pitcher Chris Perez.
No, not for anything he’s done on a mound. But off it? Take a look at the video on this link. No, Perez probably should not be confronting opposing fans, though I’m told this one has been on his case before and has been taunting him repeatedly.
Still classy in Oakland, I see.
