Ackley still out, Gutierrez leads off for Mariners

Here’s tonight’s Mariners lineup. As you can see, Dustin Ackley is still out with a stiff neck after being removed from the game in the fourth inning last night. That gives Franklin Gutierrez a chance for his second leadoff appearance this year (the other was Sept. 9 vs. Oakland). In his career, he’s led off 14 times and is 4-for-14 with no walks and two runs. Callups Alex Liddi and Luis Jimenez get starts today.
Mariners (71-80)
——————————–
21 Franklin Gutierrez CF
33 Casper Wells RF
15 Kyle Seager (L) 2B
63 Jesus Montero C
17 Justin Smoak (S) 1B
55 Michael Saunders (L) LF
16 Alex Liddi 3B
39 Luis Jimenez (L) DH
26 Brendan Ryan SS
——————————–
49 Blake Beavan RHP

For the Rangers, Adrian Beltre flew in last night after remaining in Southern California for medical tests relating to his abdominal pain. He’s in the lineup for the Rangers as Matt Harrison tries to become the first pitcher ever to beat Seattle five times in one season. Here’s the Ranger lineup:
Kinsler 2B
Andrus SS
Young DH
Beltre 3B
Cruz RF
Murphy LF
Napoli C
Moreland 1B
Gentry CF
Harrison LHP
