Here’s your Opening Night lineup for Mariners

Screen Shot 2013-04-01 at 3.33.13 PM

This is the lineup you’d expect to see the Mariners run out there against a left-hander, as long as nobody is really struggling. Hard to be in that boat on the first day of the season, so there you are.

Looking over at the Athletics lineup, there’s a familiar face batting second. Who would have thought eight months ago that we’d ever see Jesus Montero and John Jaso facing each other as Opening Day catchers? You live long enough…

Interesting to see Montero batting 7th and Kyle Seager 6th for the Mariners. Just last year, those two spent a good part of the season in the Nos. 3 and 4 spots. Just goes to show the kind of offensive firepower this team has since imported. We’ll see what the results are.
