Michael Morse and Franklin Gutierrez back in there for Mariners

This will come as welcome news to Mariners fans, but two of the team’s three starting outfielders are back in the lineup tonight.

Michael Morse is back after breaking his pinkie finger, while Franklin Gutierrez is also in there after missing the past three games with tightness in his groin area.

You’ve also got Kelly Shoppach back in there at catcher to handle the veteran, Aaron Harang, in his Mariners debut. No doubt, the Mariners don’t want the added complication of a still-learning Jesus Montero handling Harang.

Not with a right-hander on the mound opposing the Mariners in Doug Fister. Montero doesn’t hit right-handers very well.
