There were 13 more strikeouts put up by the Mariners tonight after the dozen yesterday and the 19 in the extra-innings affair.

So, yeah, they lost the game 7-0. But this game was actually only a one-run affair until the fifth, but the Mariners simply could not capitalize on the few chances they did have against Yu Darvish.

The season is far from over. But the Mariners have to be careful not to let it start slipping away. Some of these offensive showings are becoming a little too predictable like some of the stuff we’ve witnessed in recent seasons past.

Anyhow, I’ve got to get downstairs.

A nice 3 1/3 innings of scoreless ball from Hector Noesi to eat some bullpen innings after Joe Saunders got taken out in the fifth.
