The Mariners suffered the second Cactus League loss of the spring, falling 8-5 to the Indians at Peoria Stadium.
Seattle jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning, pushed it to 4-1 and later 5-1 in the sixth inning. But a fatigued Lucas Luetge in his second inning of work, gave up four runs in the seventh inning and Danny Farquar gave up three runs in the ninth, thanks to some mistakes made in the field.
The first inning featured a lead-off homer from Abraham Almonte, a double from Kyle Seager, a single from Robinson Cano, a two-run single from Nick Franklin, a walk from Justin Smoak and a bases loaded walk from Michael Saunders.

It all fell apart in the seventh when Ryan Raburn blasted a two-run homer as part of a four-run inning off of Luetge. The Indians took advantage of some miscues in the ninth to score three runs off of Danny Farquhar to seal the win.
