Mariners minor league report, April 4

Just a quick note … I’m going to post the Mariners minor league report on the blog every day with pertinent links and notes. I know Larry did it on his blog in the past, but that’s gone the way of New Coke. But I will carry it over here. It’s something I did at the TNT. I feel like I keeping tabs on prospects and minor league information is important.

Full report …. 04.04.14 Mariners Minor League Report

The Rainiers were rained out in Tacoma last night. They will be playing a double header tonight at Cheney Stadium. My friend John McGrath wrote this column on Jesus Montero.

Jabari Blash hit a grand slam in Jackson’s win 12-7 extra inning win on Thursday night.  Stephen Pryor gave up three runs, including a homer, in the 2/3 innings pitched.

Class A High Desert was shutout 7-0 by Inland Empire. Remember Taijuan Walker will be starting tonight.

Class A Clinton lost on a walk-off homer … and here’s the game story from the Clinton Herald.
