Mariners minor league report, April 8

Chance Ruffin was roughed up in the first inning  of a  9-4 loss to the El Paso Chihuahuas. Nick Franklin did hit a two-run homer in the game and is now hitting .533 (8×15) with 3 runs scored, 2 home runs, 5 RBI , 1 stolen base and 1 walk during his 4 game hit streak to begin the season.

Mike Curto’s blog always has plenty of info. 

Class AA Jackson had four pitchers combine to pitch a two-hit 4-0 shut out  over Chattanooga. Starter Jordan Pries was outstanding, allowing just one hit over six innings pitched.

Class A High Desert got an eighth-inning homer from Gaby Guerrero in a 6-3 win. 

Class A Clinton had the day off.
