Class AA Jackson lost 2-1 to Huntsville  in 13 innings, closing out a miserable series against the Stars. The Generals open a 10-game homestand tonight.  Also here’s a nice feature story on Jackson first baseman Mickey Wiswall, who is coming back from season-ending back surgery. Also the Generals have a new first/third baseman. Patrick Kivlehan has hit his way out of the Cal League. Kivlehan and right-hander Matt Anderson were promoted to Jackson, while right-hander Jochi Ogando was sent back to High Desert and third baseman Ramon Morla was sent to extended spring training.

Class A High Desert picked up a 5-3 win over Lancaster. DJ Peterson and Jordy Lara had three hits each.
