Box score … 05.11.14 Box Score

Have to finish up some stuff for the paper. But here’s video of Lloyd McClendon’s brief postgame press conference. He was obviously disappointed with the defensive effort for obvious reasons.

Danny Farquhar wouldn’t blame Marcus Pattillo’s roaming strike zone on his struggles.

“It’s tough and it happens, but you have to move on,” he said of the missed called third strikes. “You can’t let the inning build on that. And I didn’t execute pitches like I wanted to.”

Farquhar said he made a mistake to Johnny Giovatella on the first pitch cut fastball that went for a three-run homer. Farquhar (University of Lousiana-Lafayette) played against Giovatella (New Orleans) in college.

“I kind of knew he was an ambusher,” Farquhar said. “I should have been more locked in and executed the first pitch better.
