 First inning

So that wasn’t the best of starts for Chris Young. He gave up three runs on four hits with two walks, including a two-run homer to Elvis Andrus. But really it could have been much worse. Perhaps we are seeing  Young regress a little. It seemed logical that it would happen.

Rangers 3, Mariners 0

Second inning

A lead-off single from Seager goes for nothing as Smoak hit into a 4-5-3 shift double play.

Young hits Choo with two outs and then gives up a single to Beltre but got Rios to fly out to end the inning

Rangers 3, Mariners 0

Third inning

M’s go down 1-2-3.

1-2-3 inning for Young.

Rangers 3, Mariners 0

Fourth inning

We have ourselves a new ball game. James Jones led off with a triple, Michael Saunders rips an RBI single to left and Robinson “I don’t just hit singles” Cano blasts his second homer of the season over the wall in center to tie the game at 3-3

Young works a 1-2-3 inning.

Mariners 3, Rangers 3

Fifth inning

Dustin Ackley had a sure hit taken away when his rocket up the middle hit off Tepesch’s glove and was knocked down and thrown to first. John Buck reached on an error by Adrian Beltre. But nothing comes of it.

The Rangers retake the lead as Shin Soo-Choo hit a homer to left-center on a 0-2 pitch from Young.

Rangers 4, Mariners 3

Sixth inning

Cano had  a one-out “double” but the M’s can’t score him. Seager lined out and Smoak struck out.

Young end the inning with Buck throwing out Daniel Robertson at second.

Rangers 4, Mariners 3
