Game thread: Mariners at Rangers – September 5, 2014

It’s extremely warm. It’s windy as always. It’s Texas. So be thankful you are where you are at right now. Just kidding. I actually love Fort Worth and red dirt country music so I never mind this trip. Others don’t share my love of Texas

Sad to see Ron Washington gone as the Rangers manager. He was always great to deal with. Not sure how it will affect players, but they had no inclination this was coming. Most were stunned and very upset.

The Mariners will go with right-hander Hisashi Iwakuma tonight, while the Rangers will start Scott Baker. Yes, the same Scott Baker, who was in spring training with the Mariners. ┬áThere’s no Seahawks game tonight and only a portion of you are Coug fans, so come join the conversation.
